A Cayman Airways flight sustained minor damage on Friday after it collided with a vehicle at Tampa International Airport. According to a release by Cayman Airways Limited, flight KX200 arrived in Tampa from Grand Cayman and, shortly after landing, “made contact” with a vehicle on the ramp while it was being guided to its gate by ground crew including wing walkers. The release said that the collision resulted in minor wingtip damage and the aircraft was removed from service so it could be assessed by TPA maintenance crews. Due to this incident, flight KX201 from Tampa to Grand Cayman has been cancelled. Passengers booked on the flight will be accommodated on alternative flights. In a statement, the airline sincerely apologized for the inconvenience the incident has caused and thanked passengers for their patience and understanding. “The safety of our passengers, crew, and operations remains our highest priority,” said Cayman Airways.
